    • Masters’ degree in International Business gives me a foundation for understanding of business and the global economic and political context in which the coffee industry exists. 

    • Eight years volunteer work on the SCAA conference & consumer marketing committees, four years as a committee chair

    • Fluent in Spanish and English. Conversant in Portuguese.

    • 13 years coffee industry experience, including four years living and working in Costa Rica and now working with hundreds of specialty roasters, retailers and food markets across the USA

    • Founder of the SCAA Amigos del Cafe program to provide Spanish language presentations at the SCAA conference for farmer members

    • Founder, Brewing Hope raised nearly $30,000 in relief funds and goods for victims of Hurricane Mitch in 1998
