Clinic Curriculum:

Day One, Friday: The History and Culture of Kona Coffee: from the Kona Pioneers to present. Visit several small scale traditional farms and mills.

Day Two, Saturday: outer island day trip (choose one)

  • Kauai : Visit the largest coffee plantation and mill in the United States - Island Coffee Company's 4,000 acre farm and impressive state-of-the-art mill.
  • Molokai :
  • Coffees of Hawaii welcomes you on a mule driven tour of their expansive plantations and a detailed explanation of their fully mechanized harvesting and milling process.
  • Maui :
  • Ka'anapali's Estate Coffee Company's extensive coffee research plots and variety selection demonstrates the uniqueness of coffee varieties and their cup profiles.

Day Three: Kona Finale Events

  • Roasting and Brewing Seminar
  • Hawaii Coffee Tasting Session
  • Free afternoon or additional mill visits
  • Finale dinner reception and luau
